FAQ: About Synth & Swagger PDFs

What exactly am I buying?

Each PDF is a fully illustrated digital mini-magazine, typically 19–31 pages long. It combines original pop-art visuals, deep-dive music writing, timelines, stories, and contextual background on artists, scenes, and eras.

Can I read it on my phone?

Yes. Every PDF is designed to be comfortable on mobile, tablet, and desktop screens. No special app needed — it opens in your browser or any standard PDF viewer.

Do I have to download anything to view the sampler?

No download is required to view the sample. When you purchase, you’ll have the option to download it for offline reading.

Is this the same content as the article on the website?

No. The web article is an introduction. The PDF includes more visuals, deeper analysis, expanded stories, track notes, timelines, and exclusive illustrations not available anywhere else.

How is this different from a Substack post?

The PDFs are more polished, more visual, and more collectible. They feature: They’re closer to a coffee-table booklet than a blog post.

Why are these PDFs paid?

They take dozens of hours to design, illustrate, research, and assemble. Purchases support the ongoing creation of new deep dives, new artwork, and new New Wave history projects. Do you offer bundles or series? No — but be on the lookout for bundles as more PDFs are released. They allow you to collect multiple deep dives at a discounted rate.

Can I get a preview before buying?

Absolutely. Every PDF has: a flip-through image carousel, and a full-size 5-page sample PDF (opens in your browser, no download required)

Can I print the PDF?

Yes. You may print a personal copy for your own use.

What’s your refund policy?

Because these are digital files, refunds are generally not offered — but if something goes wrong with your order, contact me and I’ll make it right. This may include editing the PDF and sending you an updated copy. How many people read Synth & Swagger? More than 150 New Wave fans follow the project on Substack, with new readers joining regularly.
